An outboard motor is available with a short shaft, long shaft, or extra-long shaft. The correct shaft length is determined based on the transom height of your boat. As a guideline, a short shaft is suitable for a transom height of approximately 43 cm, a long shaft for 51 cm, and an extra-long shaft for 63 cm.
