Why are maintenance and servicing important for your outboard motor?

Maintenance and servicing are important for the service life of your outboard motor: the annual cost is low and they will prolong the service life of your motor significantly. Apart from the performance of routine maintenance tasks, servicing can often reveal defects that you might not have noticed. By having your motor serviced every year, such defects will usually be discovered in good time, keeping repair costs relatively low. Annual servicing will also reduce the risk of defects arising.
