De nieuwe Mercury 5 PK Propaan/LPG biedt probleemloze draagbaarheid, betrouwbaarheid en gebruiksgemak en draait op alternatieve schone brandstof. Propaan is milieuvriendelijk en geeft een schone verbranding met tot wel 30% lagere emissie uitstoot in vergelijking tot benzine.
U kunt de motor laten draaien op het gewone propaangas dat u wellicht ook voor uw barbecue gebruikt. De buitenboordmotor is standaard uitgerust met een automatische propaangasafsluitklep op de motor en in de brandstofslangconnector, waarmee dus ook aan de veiligheid wordt voldaan.
Door het steeds groter wordende aandeel Biobrandstoffen is de hedendaagse benzine gevoelig voor veroudering. Dit heeft als vervelend gevolg dat de motoren minder goed starten als ze langer stilstaan.
Deze propaan uitvoering heeft hier geen last van! Het gas verouderd niet en heeft een schonere verbranding waardoor dit een zeer betrouwbare motor is.
